There’s a simpler way to get the Windows 10 May 2021 update right now for everyone else.

How to install the May 2021 (21H1) update for Windows 10

Anyone with a Windows 10 PC will download the May 2021 upgrade now, long before it is released to the general public. To participate in the Windows Insider Program, all you have to do is sign up.

The Windows 10 May 2021 Update is already available in beta and release preview platforms, and we’ll be concentrating on the latter here.

Follow the below easy steps to install the update for Windows 10;

  1. Signup

First, open the ‘Settings’ app on the PC you want to install Windows 10 May 2021 on. Click on ‘Update & Security,’ and the ‘Windows Insider Program’ will appear in the sidebar at the very bottom.

You’ll just see a start option until you sign up. When you click to get started, you’ll be prompted to pick a Microsoft account to add to the service, as well as a channel to join.

Click ‘Confirm’ after selecting the ‘Release preview Channel.’ Before going on, you’ll need to restart your computer for the update to take place, so do so now.

  1. Download the Windows 10 update

Return to the ‘Settings’ app and go to the ‘Windows Insider Program’ segment as detailed in the previous phase after the PC has restarted. If everything goes according to schedule, your Microsoft account and the Release Preview Channel should now be visible. As a result, you can now download the Windows 10 May 2021 update.

In the sidebar, choose ‘Windows Update.’ If there are no updates available, first press the ‘Check for updates’ tab. A secondary portion should now appear, requesting that you download and install the Windows 10 version 21H1 upgrade.

Click ‘Download and install’ and wait for the process to complete. When the upgrade is over, you will be prompted to restart your computer. To complete the installation of the Windows 10 May 2021 upgrade, restart your computer.
